The client: A Chichester/Bognor-based architects firm, referred to LMS Computer Services by a previous client.

The brief: The company had no form of comprehensive backup and their existing system was inadequate and affecting productivity.

The service: LMS Computer Services installed a Windows Small Business Server and an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) system. The server provided a strong level of backup protection, which included daily imaging of all the computers in the office, while the UPS system provided protection against regular power cuts. This new hardware and software also gave part-time staff remote office access. A new office phone system, using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology, was also installed, which dramatically reduced the company’s phone bill. It also enabled employees to transfer calls from their workstations.
